ˇ If your résumé does not show your experience in an area required on the description, take a few minutes to adjust it.

When sending a résumé, send a cover letter telling us:
ˇ The job number(s) for the position(s) you are interested in.

ˇ Your ideal position.
ˇ Your geographic preference or limitations - if you will consider any location please state so.
ˇ Your availability to start a new position.

ˇ Let us know any special circumstances that will influence your decision about a new position or a prospective employer's interest in you.
ˇ How you heard about us.

Ready to send a résumé?

ˇ Send it only once, with the cover letter, regardless of how many positions interest you.
ˇ Use e-mail with your résumé attached in a word document if possible.

When will we contact you?
If your experience and ambitions match an assignment we are working on, we will contact you in 2-10 days (please note we receive many résumés). If you do not hear from us, we have carefully put your information in our database. We do not want to lose you! As soon as we see something that will be of interest to you, we will contact you.
If you don't hear from us and think you should have, follow up with us by sending us an e-mail asking for confirmation that your information was received.

Next Steps
ˇ If your background, salary range, etc, is a match, you will interview with one of our recruiters (possibly in person or by telephone).
ˇ Additional information about the position will be provided at this time.
ˇ A series of questions will be asked of you to better understand your vision, goals, strengths, and if you are a likely fit with the client company.
ˇ If your recruiter cannot answer your questions he/she will get the answers.
ˇ Please bring up any issues (examples: transferring visas, counter offers, access to special needs programs for a child, etc.)
If you are interested and the recruiter believes you to be a good fit for the position, we will send our client your résumé and a letter explaining why we feel you would be a good match for their team.
ˇ Typically a client will inform the recruiter if they are interested in you within a few days. For contracts provide your hourly rate requirements. Your recruiter will contact you as soon as he/she hears any feedback.
ˇ Your first contact with our client may be by telephone. We will schedule phone interviews and in person interviews.
ˇ If you are interested and the recruiter believes you to be a good fit for the positions, we will send our client your résumé and a letter explaining why we feel you would be a good match for their team.

After the Interview
ˇ Call your recruiter immediately and let them know your interest level and impressions of the interview, company, people you met with, etc.
ˇ This is the time to ask your recruiter any unanswered questions you might have.
ˇ If both sides are interested, the next step might be a second interview or telephone calls which the recruiter will arrange.

Offer
ˇ Usually the recruiter will make the offer to you on behalf of the client. The recruiter will discuss the compensation package with you and handle any negotiations with the client. We want everyone to feel they are getting a good deal.
ˇ If applicable, relocation information will be discussed.
ˇ Be prepared to provide three references with their contact information. Call each of them to describe the position you are being considered for, let them know they may be getting a call from the client or recruiter.
ˇ Once there is an agreement, the client company will provide you with a letter with the terms of the agreement and you can safely quit your current position.

Keep in Contact with your Recruiter
Let us know if you make any changes (take a new position, get promoted, move to a new location, etc).
